I grew up in Plymouth and would visit the Daly's on Ann Arbor Rd. and Main. It was a part of our lives in Plymouth. I love in Florida now so I always make a point to come to Livonia to get a Dalyburger with special sauce!

Use to go to the one on Wayne road. It was great. Here is a link to the men's baseball team http://www.cyber-rod.com/cyberrod/htdocs/DalysBaseball/index.html

I lived and grew up one block from the Daly's on Dix in Licoln Park, Mi...I now live in Florida. I can remember my dad going to Daly's for a big pig trough banana split. He would eat the whole thing. I always loved the Daly burgers and still do. When we are visiting our children in Michigan we always go to the Livonia store. I hope they never close down like all the others. If I am not mistaken, I think they are the only one left!

I lived in Romulus about 1 block away from the Huron River Drive location. My best friend and I would beg money from our parents and get shakes and burgers as often as we could. My sister was a car hop for a summer...it was her first job. I don't get to Romulus too often but whenever I do I make a trip to Daly's for a shake and a burger.

My "hood" was by O'Shea Park, West of Greenfield & down by Capitol St. So we would cruise the DALYS on Greenfield between W. Chicago and Joy Rd. What GREAT memories! driving through, always waiting for a parking spot to open up..it was always packed full of cars & friends. When I get a chance to still visit family in the Detroit area, and always stop in DALYS in Livonia for some GREAT food [still the best burgers!] and fond reminiscing.

What else was there to do during an electric T-Storm but drive to Warren Rd Dalys for a burger. It was Dad's favorite eatery and the weather didn't matter-we went. That's where Dad told me lightening would bounce off the tires and the car was the safest place to be. My brother and I grew up in W. Dearborn and even though we moved West, looking at your site brings back memories of our Dad whom we just lost this year. Just wondered why we can't have Daly's on the west coast.

My dad grew up in Livonia and always recalls fond memories of walking to Daly's for a malt or a burger. Now every time we travel back to Livonia from Kansas, as a family, we always make a special stop to enjoy a Daly burger and malt. There's no better place to go!

I grew up in Warren and my mother used to love going to the Daly on Groesbeck Hwy.. I have to admit.. I was always scared driving in as I always thought that ENORMOUS Daly Drive -in sign (seriously--it was huge) would fall on our car! (loved the ice cream and the junior daly burger!)

I was born and raised in Livonia. Before the coming of age on my 16th birthday, my parents took my sister and I to the Livonia location for dinner on a frequent basis for years. I loved the foot long hot dog and don’t think I ever had any other entre’. I remember the Daly Double and the board on the wall. Way out of my league. In September 1965, I got my driver license. I do not think I ever went again with my parents. I cannot count how many nights I spent at the drive-inn. It started with a 58 Impala, a 66 Falcon, a 61 Impala convertible, and finally my 67 Charger. I can recall many nights with friends, before or after, we went drag racing on Telegraph. Daly was the symbol of great food, hot cars and hot girlfriends in 1960's Livonia. BTW, I have tried for years to duplicate the hot dog chili sauce to no avail.
