I can remember going to the Daly's on Beech Daly with my family when I was little. Everything was delicious! When I bowled out in Canton at the Superbowl, there was a Daly's inside of the bowling alley. Me and my cousins would always get frys and drinks for a snack. Fun memories! It's a shame that there is only one left. WE NEED MORE!!!

This would have been the late 60's and early 70's. After every Sunday evening service, it seemed the entire congregation of Mom's church found it's way to Daly's on Beech Daly. I remember vividly giant flying saucer sized platters of onion rings and Daly burgers. I was never able to talk Mom into letting me order the Daly-Double ice cream thing. Bear in mind, I was only six. One of these days when I head back to the Detroit area to visit, I'll head to the one that's left in Livonia and order one -that's if they still have it.

Like Paula of Adrian,I used to go to the Daly's in Westland on Wayne Rd. I also went to the one
in Plymouth, the one with the
fireplace. Such great memories.
I now live in Blissfield near Adrian (and Paula). Like her I
wish we had a Daly's here in Lenawee county. Glad to know there is still one open. I'll see you there soon!

We used to go to the Dalys in Dearborn every night after church and enjoy great company and great food. My favorite is cheeseburger with just ketchup, a salad with italian dressing and a large cherry coke. What great memories

We used to go to the original Daly's in Dearborn Hgts. when I was a small child. I fondly remember eating footlongs and medium shakes. My dad used to go there as a child with my grandpa. We moved to Plymouth in 1996 and went to the one on Main St./ Ann Arbor Rd. until it closed. We also went to the one on Wayne Rd. as well. When I went away for college I always went to Daly's when I came home as much as I could. Now I go with my family every chance I get. But I get a Jr. hotdog and a small shake now.

I met my husband at Daly's back in 1967. We have been married almost 44 years and drop by there to eat once in a while. We have good memories of Daly's. Love their Chile Cheese Burger.

Those were the good old days, at Daly on Wayne Rd., Westland and the Dalyburger and chili fries. Now that location is a coney place, sure does not compare. I now go to the Plymouth & Merriman location. It's all there is.

While taking in the sights and sounds of Dream Cruise week on Woodward, our discussion turned to the various drive-ins we cruised back in the early sixties while dating our future wives. Lo and behold, we discovered our favorite place to stop and actually eat was at a Daly's Drive-in. However, two of us cruised the west side Daly's on Plymouth Rd. and the others an east side Daly's on Groesbeck. We decided that the seven of us would make a pilgrimage on Wednesday 8-24 11 to the last remaining Daly's. Since we are coming from Sterling Heights, Shelby Township and Romeo, Daly's became a day trip for us. The consensus was that the Daly burger and the Daly dog tasted exactly as remembered. Going to Daly's the Wednesday after Dream Cruise is now permanently on our calendars.
